It’s a real treat to present the assistant director of the Squaxin Island Museum, Jeremiah George, to our line-up this season.  The history of our area certainly didn’t begin with European settlement.  For many generations, native tribal people lived and flourished in the South Sound and we’re honored to be able to learn first-hand about the Squaxin tribe and the history and legends passed down from their ancestors.

“Heritage Builders” is the local history program of the Olympia Tumwater Foundation. Thank you to our program partners, the City of Tumwater and Thurston Community Media.

Free admission: donations gratefully accepted. The doors open at 11:30 a.m., the program begins at noon and close at capacity.
