DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided tour of one of Tumwater’s most iconic homes\, the Schmidt House\, built in 1904 for Leopold Schmidt\, founder of the Olympia Brewing Company and his family. Your Tour Guide will take you through four levels of the house from the basement to the top floor. Find yourself immersed in the rich history Tumwater has to offer. Please note: The first floor is ADA accessible\, but the rest of the house requires climbing stairs.

SUMMARY:Summer at the Schmidt Speakeasy Garden Party
DESCRIPTION:Experience the roaring 20’s on the grounds of the Schmidt House. Play croquet on the expansive lawn in your best dress\, discover a hidden Speakeasy inside the Schmidt House where hand-crafted drinks are made\, and enjoy live music\, a silent film\, and other activities that bring back the Prohibition era. Proceeds will fund a music scholarship for Tumwater students through the Olympia Tumwater Foundation scholarship program. This is a fundraising event in partnership with the City of Tumwater Arts Program.
