Megan Ockerman

When Megan Ockerman began researching the Olympia Brewing Company for her master’s thesis, she discovered – and utilized –the brewery archives located in the basement of the Schmidt House. Ockerman’s independent research resulted in a thesis that provides an in-depth look at the family and famous beer that continues to impact our region.

On March 15 at noon, Ockerman will present the brewery’s story at History Talks at the Schmidt House, brought to the community by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation’s Heritage Builders program.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER — Megan Ockerman earned her Master of Arts in History from Washington State University in May 2017 and is the assistant curator at the Schmidt House.
