Take a Tour of the Schmidt House
You are invited to join a guided tour of the historic Schmidt House. The Schmidt House’s caretaker for almost 60 years, Bob Crim, leads the 90-minute tour of the house and grounds. His stories captivate visitors, as they tour through the three top levels of the house, the treasures of the basement archives, and special surprises that the public does not get to see.
Tours occur the second Tuesday of each month, but the Olympia Tumwater Foundation will work with groups to create customized tour outside of normal times.
The historians at the Schmidt House have designed the tours for 8-20 people and participants should have the ability to manage stairs.
