Rich will discuss lighting, backlighting, focusing, background manipulation, and more. Once you learn
how best to photograph a rose, you can transfer those skills to other flowers, foliage, and so on.
The workshop will consist of a beginning lecture and PowerPoint program by Rich. Attendees will then
visit our onsite rose garden, where they can practice their newly-acquired skills with one-on-one tips
from Rich. Following the garden session, we’ll reconvene inside for a critique of attendees’ photos.
The workshop will be held in the Centennial Rose Garden, on the grounds of Tumwater’s Schmidt House. Find the house at 330 Schmidt Pl, Tumwater, WA 98501.
