History Talks at Schmidt House presents “Geology of Puget Sound & the Washington Geological Survey”

On Thursday, October 25 at noon, History Talks at the Schmidt House presents Geology of Puget Sound & the Washington Geological Survey.

 

Corina Forson, L.G., Chief Hazard Geologist from the Department of Natural Resources, will present an illustrated program about how the land we live on was formed and what the latest studies reveal about how to prepare for future geological events. Forson’s primary focus is the geothermal potential of Washington State, with an emphasis on the Mount St. Helens seismic zone, Mt. Baker, and the Wind River valley. She also works on education and outreach for the Division of Geology and Earth Resources.

When — Thursday, October 25, 2018, noon-1 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and close at capacity.
