2014 scholarship recipients Megan Kramer and Emma Baldwin recently stopped by the Foundation office to say hi and give an update on their educational endeavors at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Megan is studying civil engineering and rowing crew while Emma is working towards a business degree and involved in horse riding. Both are getting good grades and enjoying the collegiate experience. Megan and Emma were good friends at North Thurston HS and decided to attend college together. To broaden their social horizons, they purposefully did not request each other as roommates for freshman year but upon arrival at Gonzaga, much to their amusement, they had been assigned as bunkmates anyway. Megan and Emma were also excited to find Libby Kamrowski, another 2014 Foundation scholarship winner from Timberline HS, also residing on the same dorm floor.
They are both appreciative of their scholarships, stating the award directly impacted their decision to attend Gonzaga and gave their parents much needed financial relief.
