The Northwest Carriage Museum, located in Pacific County, is the most-visited tourist attraction in the area, drawing visitors from around the world. On April 5 at noon, the Museum’s Director and Curator will speak about their collection at History Talks at the Schmidt House, a free community event made possible by the Olympia Tumwater Foundation and the City of Tumwater.
The Northwest Carriage Museum’s collection of 52 beautifully restored horse-drawn vehicles — including carriages, wagons, stagecoach, a hearse, and buggies —is one of the finest collections in the United States. Hollywood classic movies such as “The Little Princess” and “Gone with the Wind” used carriages now housed at the Museum.
