Back in 1907, this wonderful (though damaged) print graced a calendar from the Bellingham Bay Brewery, which had been established by Leopold Schmidt in 1902. The calendar art was painted by Edmund Henry Osthaus, a German artist who specialized in painting dogs, including the Irish setters shown here.
